Akum Maduka

Akum Maduka
It appears that a career in design has been part of Akum’s DNA since she was born. Her dad, an architect living and practicing in Northern Nigeria, ensured she was exposed to the world of design at an early age, instilling a high appreciation for cultural landscapes and culture-specific design. Initially enrolling in the University of Manitoba’s Fine Arts program, Akum switched to the university’s Environmental Design program (where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree) to expand her design skill set and align with her interests in urban design and landscape architecture. As Nadi’s architectural intern, Akum curates the firm’s social media feed, prepares graphic design visuals and assists with Request For Proposals and urban design projects.
